Martinez Architecture Studio has gathered in-depth experience working on renovations and remodels in the Historic District of Santa Fe for almost 30 years. For Richard Martinez, the use of adobe, stone and iron is in his blood. He has also designed many modern homes which respond to their site. Views are very important, and site considerations are influenced by adherence to Green Building Standards and connecting the indoor and outdoor spaces to take maximum advantage of Santa Fe’s wonderful climate.

Martinez Architecture Studio has been honored to collaborate with great teams on Hospitality and Restaurant projects around New Mexico. We explore the history and larger context of each project to create an experience that lets patrons feel welcome, experience the story we collaboratively create for the visitor, and enables ease of operations for the staff equally inhabiting the space.

We take pride in our city and its spaces, designed not only for our local community but also visitors who come to participate in what we treasure about our beautiful Santa Fe and its rich history. Urban Planning & Design enables us to address the larger issues of how whole communities interact with each other and how the space they collectively inhabit participates in building deeper connection and understanding.
